charismatic authority : ウィキペディア英語版 | charismatic authority
Max Weber defined charismatic authority as "resting on devotion to the exceptional sanctity, heroism, or exemplary character of an individual person, and of the normative patterns or order revealed or ordained by him". This definition is developed in Weber's essays "Politics as a Vocation" and "Discipline and Charisma", as well as in other parts of Weber's writings.〔"Politics as Vocation" pp. 129-198, and "Discipline and Charisma" pp. 59-72 in ''Weber's Rationalism and Modern Society'', edited and translated by Tony Waters and Dagmar Waters, Palgrave MacMillan (2015)〕 The concept has acquired wide usage among sociologists. Other terms used are "charismatic domination"〔(Power, Domination, Legitimation, and Authority ) Sociology 250 Retrieved October 2006〕 and "charismatic leadership".〔Adair-Toteff, Christopher, ''Max Weber’s Charisma'', Journal of Classical Sociology, Vol. 5, No. 2, 189-204 (2005)〕 == Characteristics ==
